Legal Studies (Bachelor's)

The Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies degree program builds a basic foundation in understanding the role of law, justice, governance, and the impact it has on society. You will acquire knowledge on a variety of judicial, political, and economic systems. As well as laws and policies that can be applied in multiple areas of government and business. Within the framework of a liberal arts education, the program also offers an international and historical perspective on legal issues which can provide a solid base for advanced study in the field of law.

You need to complete 126 credits to earn a bachelor degree in Legal Studies. That includes 60 credits of General Education, 33 credits from a Common Body of Knowledge and Liberal Arts Core, plus 33 credits of Major Requirements. Courses include Ethics and the Administration of Justice, Legal Research and Writing, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
