Whatever field you decide to pursue, you have to begin with an understanding of business. It’s the core of any career, and a good way to gain an edge on fellow workers who lack this degree. With an Associate of Arts in Business, you’ll build a solid background of general knowledge as well as a broad-based business foundation. This program enables you to proceed directly into the Core and Major course requirements of any bachelor degree program offered at WIU. A total of 60 credits is required to complete this degree, which includes 42 General Education Core Requirements and 18 Common Body of Knowledge Requirements. In addition, a minimum of 18 credits must be earned in residence at WIU. For all undergraduate coursework at WIU, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
