This program is appropriate for teaching candidates who need a bachelor’s degree, want to become a certified elementary school teacher or middle school generalist, and can devote 15 to 20 hours per week to their studies.

The B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-8) prepares you for licensure to become an elementary teacher or middle school generalist. The program teaches you the content knowledge and teaching skills to become a highly qualified teacher and includes supervised practice teaching in an actual classroom setting.
