R.N. Track: For Registered Nurses with a hospital diploma, Associate's Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.), or bachelor's degree (other than B.S.N.). Graduates of the Walden M.S. in Nursing (MSN) have the knowledge and skills to be leaders in the profession and contribute to positive social change in their communities and throughout the world. The Education specialization addresses the growing need for nurse educators. Nurses also provide essential education in staff development, patient/family, schools, occupational, and community settings. Applicants who have a diploma, A.D.N., or bachelor's degree in a discipline other than nursing and are licensed registered nurses may be accepted in the M.S.Nursing (MSN), provided they fulfill the general education requirements. Once applicants meet these requirements, they are admitted to Walden and begin taking the foundational courses. Students then progress on to the core curriculum, the specialization courses, and finally, the capstone courses.
