Local Government Management for Sustainable Communities - Mixed-Model (Ph.D.)

With this specialization, you will learn how to create and maintain sustainable communities that are environmentally sound, economically prosperous, and socially equitable. Explore the interrelated elements that make a community viable and access the tools and resources for sustainable community development. Be prepared to succeed in such roles as a town manager, department head, or director of a social service organization.

The Mixed-Model option is a more flexible program of study that includes online courses and Walden’s signature Knowledge Area Modules (KAMs). Study independently and work closely with a faculty mentor to apply your research to an area in which you are passionate.
