The University of the Cumberlands Supervisor of Instruction program is designed for individuals who have a master's degree in education and have graduated from an institution of higher learning. Students may earn the Rank I certification at the “sixth-year,” specialist, or doctoral level, which requires 30 hours. Students may also earn non-degree certification at the master’s level, which requires 18 hours. Rank I certification includes courses in educational administration, human resource management and supervis, school program improvement, applied research in education, school and community relations, school law, instructional design and curriculum, and problems in education. Non-degree certification includes courses in human resource management and supervis, school program improvement, school law, and educational administration.
