Program Description:

The Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) undergraduate degree program is designed to prepare graduates with the requisite knowledge, skills, and values to effectively apply various business principles and tools in an organizational setting. The BSB foundation is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practical application, while examining the areas of accounting, critical thinking and decision-making, finance, business law, management, marketing, organizational behavior, research and evaluation, and technology. Students are required to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the undergraduate business curricula through an integrated topics course.

The Global Management concentration emphasizes fundamental principles and practices of conducting global business activities. Components include: international marketing, international trade and investment, global finance, global human resource management, and global valuechain management. Students will integrate advanced topics in global business throu   real-life applications. The program promotes the development of a “global mindset” and reflects the dynamic nature of global business realities.

In the Global Management concentration, 15 credit hours are required. Students must successfully complete five required courses: GBM 380 (Global Business), GBM 381 (International Trade), HRM 350 (International Human Resource Management), ISCOM 383 (Global Value Chain Management), and GBM 489 (Strategic Topics in Global Business Management). In addition to the required course of study, students must satisfy General Education and Elective requirements to meet the 120 (124 for Kansas) semester-credit minimums required for completion of the degree.
