Online education is a constantly evolving field, and educators and instructional designers need to stay on top of innovations in online learning. The Graduate Certificate in Management of E-Learning from the University of Illinois Global Campus will provide you with training in online learning technology and the management of online learning programs. A growing proportion of higher education is being delivered via the Internet because of widespread access and the potential for high quality interactive teaching. Universities, colleges, and community colleges are beginning to encourage their faculties and instructors to gain formal training in online pedagogies and technologies. Corporations are also increasingly relying on e-learning to educate, train, and motivate their employees, suppliers, and customers. The curriculum of the Graduate Certificate in Management of E-Learning consists of three eight week courses for a total of 12 credit hours using Desire2Learn course management software. All certificate courses can be used to satisfy course requirements for the Master of Education degree with a concentration in E-Learning. Admission to the Graduate Certificate program requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; and a 3.00/4.00 GPA computed on the basis of the last 60 hours or the equivalent of the baccalaureate degree.
