| Degree Description: |
The Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) degree program engages professionals in rigorous liberal arts study while applying what they learn to their professions. You specialize in a professional focus area: human resources management, online learning and teaching, or organizational leadership. You focus your degree program to your interests by selecting a Learner-Designed Area of Study. This means besides taking advantage of Thomas Edison State College’s flexible means for earning credit, MALS students may transfer up to 6 credits of graduate-level credit earned at other regionally accredited institutions, apply up to 6 credits of American Council on Education courses that have been evaluated at the graduate level and earn credit for courses offered through Educational Partnership organizations: American Educational Institute (AEI) and Recovery Assistance Program Training (RAPT). The MALS is a 36-credit program.
