The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree accounting area of study is designed for those interested in a career in either public or private accounting. The accounting area of study is 18 credits, including required subjects Intermediate Accounting I and II. Students may complete these credits entirely online. Those interested in becoming a CPA may take advantage of Thomas Edison State College’s Bachelor to Master’s Accounting Program. The 120 credits earned completing the BSBA in accounting count toward the 150 credits required to sit for the CPA examination in New Jersey and many other states. Students completing the College’s Master of Science in Management (MSM) earn an additional 6 credits toward the CPA exam. Students may apply for provisional admission to the MSM Graduate Program at Thomas Edison State College once they have earned 99 credits toward a Thomas Edison State College baccalaureate degree. Once accepted, they may earn 9 graduate credits that will satisfy the requirements for both the undergraduate and graduate degrees.
