Degree Description: The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree helps adults achieve college-level competence in business, and the arts and sciences. You select the area of study that matches your career path: accounting, administrative office management, advertising management, banking, computer information systems, finance, general management, hospital healthcare administration, hotel/motel/restaurant management, human resources management, insurance, international business, logistics, marketing, operations management, organizational management, procurement, public administration, purchasing and materials management, real estate, retailing management, small business management/entrepreneurship, and transportation/distribution management. Student must complete a capstone requirement, Business Policy, which integrates content across the BSBA and validates the student’s knowledge. Business Policy must be completed within five years from a student’s Thomas Edison State College application date. You may also complete a Demonstration of Currency (DOC) conference with a mentor to address contemporary developments common to the topics being covered. Additionally, up to 9 credits of the 18-credit area of study may be older than 10 years from the date of application to the College. Any additional older credits would have to undergo review before being transferred for credit. The following BSBA degrees may be earned via the conventional approach, entirely through Thomas Edison State College: finance, human resources management, general management and marketing. The BA is a 120-credit program.
