The Associate in Science in Public and Social Services (ASPSS) degree is designed for adults working in select direct services positions in key human services areas. You select the option that matches your career path: administration of justice, child development services, community services, emergency disaster services, fitness and wellness services (may be earned via the Conventional Approach: entirely through Thomas Edison State College), as well as gerontology, legal services, recreation services, social services and social services for special populations. To complete the Practicum, students must have current work experience in the option or be able to complete a 250-hour volunteer experience. Students must work in the United States or be a U.S. citizen working on a U.S. military base overseas. The ASPSS is a 60-credit program.
