| Program Description: | The objective of the Master of Science in Accounting program at Stratford University is to equip persons seeking positions as professional accountants in business, governmental, global and non- profit institutions with the specialized knowledge and skills demanded of the profession and necessary for success. The program provides a global focus with a balanced integration of theoretical and practical accounting standards blended with quantitative methods in decision making. The program is responsive to current trends and demands in the profession-especially forensic accounting, advanced accounting practices, and use of technology and accounting information systems in the workplace. Professors and students will access and use Internet databases and websites, Stratford University research databases and basic accounting software programs. The MS program includes nine core requirements and three elective requirements, a total of 54 quarter credits. Students who enroll in two classes per quarter should complete the program in 60 weeks. |
