Master of Public Administration in Non-Profit

The specialization in Non-Profit Management provides more in-depth knowledge, skills, and applications in areas of direct interest to those seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge in the management of non-profit organizations. Geared for those either currently in the non-profit field or for those seeking to enter it, the concentration in Non-Profit Management program offered online will enhance graduates' ability to manage such organizations and associations. Studies specific to this concentration include fundraising, volunteer development, grant writing, contract administration, program evaluation and organizational management.

The Master of Public Administration degree program is designed to address the needs of students for applied coursework in areas of critical importance to local, state, and national governmental and non-profit organizations. The program is organized around core, specialization, elective, and capstone courses that cover a broad range of governmental and non-profit topics to help develop each student's knowledge, skills, and abilities. This degree program can help prepare you to be a project/program manager, administrative services specialist, departmental manager, analyst, economic development specialist, and eventually (with applicable experience) executive director, economic development director, city manager, chief administrative officer or county manager.

*To be accepted at South University, you must be a high school graduate with a graduation year of 2008 or earlier OR have the equivalent GED with a score of 225 or higher.
