The AS in ECE with a Child and Family Studies Specialization is designed to prepare teachers with the skills to support the healthy development of young children and families. Teachers will be skilled in providing parent education, support for children who demonstrate challenging behaviors, and knowledge of early childhood development to meet the mental health needs of young children and their families. Skilled teachers who support the development of strong, healthy children and families also contribute to a strong, healthy community.
