Peirce College offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Network Security. Students in this concentration study higher-level concepts of network security. Students will learn Linux administration, firewall security techniques, upper level Microsoft design and security concepts, network defense and countermeasures, computer forensics, and disaster planning and recovery techniques. This concentration builds the fundamentals needed to assist students in preparation for the following industry standard certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in Windows2003, CompTIA Linux+TM, Check Point® Certified Security Administrator (CCSA), Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP), and the International Association of Computer Investigation Specialists (IACIS®) certification. Course highlights of this BS in Information Technology include: Cisco Routers & Switches I, Systems Analysis & Design, Linux Networking and Security, and Network Defense and Countermeasures. Students will complete a minimum of 121 credits to earn a bachelor's degree. Generally, a student will generally complete 121 credits in 41 classes. |
