The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program builds on the knowledge and skills that registered nurses have acquired through a diploma or associate degree. This degree gives nurses the credentials needed to advance in the nursing profession, to function more independently in community settings and to be prepared for admission to graduate school. This program requires an additional application for admission to the Nursing program. Students are encouraged to apply to the program when they apply for admission to Northern Arizona University. To be eligible for this program you must have graduated from a state or nationally accredited nursing program. Diploma graduates must also pass the ACT-PEP or NLN exams in nursing fundamentals, maternal-child nursing and adult nursing at the baccalaureate level. To be eligible for this program you must be an R.N. and you should have completed at least one of the following: A.A.S. in Nursing, A.S. in Nursing, A.A. in Nursing, or a diploma in nursing.
