Religion (Associate's)

Whether you are a seasoned pastor looking to increase your knowledge and earn additional qualifications in your position, or an individual with a desire to serve in an area of ministry, earning your Associate of Arts in Religion is the first-step toward building the solid, biblical foundation you need to effectively work in ministry.

Liberty University's® Associate of Arts in Religion program provides students with a solid foundation from which to understand the fundamentals of the Bible, Christianity, Christian theology, and the Christian church, with the goal to train students for effective ministry. Students will gain understanding of the origin and contents of the Bible, and will be equipped to use the Bible in dealing with contemporary issues in ministry, developing excellent oral and written communication skills that are key to effectively communicating in both personal and professional ministry environments.

The Associate of Arts in Religion degree serves as an excellent stepping stone toward earning a Bachelor of Science in Religion, which is also offered online through Liberty's Distance Learning Program.
