An increasing number of public safety agencies are searching for leaders who have, or are willing to obtain, a bachelor’s degree. Franklin University’s online Public Safety Management major will prepare you to step into a leadership role and enhance the fiscal responsibility and quality of service of an agency. Designed as a completion program, the Public Safety Management major enhances existing technical skills of an individual to include general knowledge, communication skills and the application of business and leadership practices. You will apply accounting and fiscal management principles; demonstrate leadership and management abilities; utilize written and verbal communication skills; demonstrate critical thinking, reasoning and analytical skills; use human relations skills; and apply planning techniques to a public safety agency.
