The focus of this major is on the computerized business applications in a global environment. An AIS major may choose from three areas of emphasis: business applications programming, computer networking, or E-commerce database administration. All AIS majors are required to take 33 credit hours of computer courses and a 27-credit hour business core. Upon graduation most AIS majors accept employment as computer programmers, software engineers, computer network administrators, or applications support/database administrators.
