This program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (CRB-AAMAE). The program is designed to prepare competent entry-level medical assistants in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains. The graduate is eligible to take the certification exam of the American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) and/or the American Medical Technologist Exam (RMA). (At some locations, an option of this program is to complete a phlebotomy concentration, which makes the graduate eligible to write a phlebotomy certification exam.)
