| Program Description: | Master of Human Services*: You'll develop expertise in gerontology, lifespan development and family studies to respond compassionately and effectively to the needs of our society's changing demographics. Three areas of specialization—Gerontology, Community and Public Health, and Human Services Leadership and Management—as well as a generalist track offer the opportunity to tailor your degree to your career interests and goals. Program topics include aging studies, family studies, marriage and family counseling, and community and public health. As health care systems and the populations served evolve, Concordia prepares you to be responsive, effective and compassionate across a spectrum of human services careers. The Master of Human Services with a concentration in Gerontology program will explore the social, mental health and family issues specific to older adults and an aging population. The online Master of Public Health (MPH) and the online Master of Human Services (MHS) is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. |
