Graduates of the Master of Arts in Teaching program with a concentration in Advance Studies in Secondary Education will have a deeper understanding of instructional strategies, action research, instructional technology, differentiated instruction, classroom management, assessment strategies, teacher leadership, curriculum design, and reflective practices. At the completion of this program, graduates will have a head start if they decide to apply for National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certification. The curriculum includes courses in Advanced Instructional Technology, Advanced Classroom Management, Methods of Action Research, Constructivists Instructional Strategies, Reflective Practitioner, Curriculum Design, Differentiating Instruction, Teacher Leadership, Assessment of Learning and Research Thesis in Secondary Education.
