The Master of Science in Management Information Systems (MSMIS) focuses on strategic information system resources, giving students the background required to plan, analyze, design, implement, secure, and control them. The MSMIS was designed for mid-level IT managers who aspire to CIO-level responsibility in their organizations. It gives them a current level of understanding of contemporary trends and emerging technologies, as well as the ability to stay current in the rapidly changing world of enterprise technology. Concentrations in four dynamic industry fields include: Business, Computer Information Systems, Healthcare, and Information Security. All of the concentrations start with the same foundational core of 27 credit hours, which provides a broad overview of IT related topics including programming, networking, database design, systems analysis, and IT management. The concentrations add an additional nine credit hours covering industry-specific topics and applications. |
