Photography (Bachelor's)

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh — Online Division's mission is to take your passion for photography and help you transform yourself into the professional photographer you want to be and develop the skills that will allow you to be competitive in the continually changing world of photography. Our Bachelor of Science in Photography courses are designed to provide graduates with skills that are directly applicable to a career in the field. The goal is to provide you with a rigorous study of the elements of image production and manipulation, a wide range of professional camera and lighting equipment and the ability to capture a moment through your lens that evokes a response.

As a student, you will be encouraged to pursue your own unique style. By graduation, you will have built a digital portfolio displaying your photographic vision, enabling you to interview for entry-level positions such as:
