Gain Hands-On Design Skills
Start with a strong artistic foundation—classes in drawing, perspective, drafting and color. Move on to courses that provide practical expertise based on The National Kitchen and Bath Association’s guidelines. You will study Auto-CAD in order to plan kitchen and bath spaces in a residential setting. You will study lighting and materials, building systems and codes along with products and appliances. You will also gain skills in business fundamentals such as budgets and estimates, project bidding, plus an introduction to public relations, marketing and promotions. Two internships give you real-world experience and helps build your professional portfolio.

With an associate’s degree, you are prepared to begin your career in entry-level jobs working in the design, sales and installation of kitchen and bath projects. You may find career opportunities working with contractors, builders, manufacturers, retailers and private clients.
