| Program Description: | The Masters of Education in Adult Training and Education program is designed for the working professional associated with adult learning, training, or staff development in business, government, and other private or public organizations. The goal of the program is to enhance the knowledge and skills in the area of adult learning for employment and other organizational settings. The proposed program is a 36 hour masters program. This is a combination of cognate core, specialty courses, and capstone. The faculty is composed of committed teaching professionals, dedicated to the development of individual student interest areas during the courses and capstone. An eclectic mix of backgrounds, theoretical orientation, and interests in the faculty members provides students with the opportunity for exposure to new ideas, as well as support for the extension of established interests. The Masters of Education in Adult Training and Education program assists in the development of leaders in the fields of education, training, and curriculum development. This degree does not prepare graduates for licensure as public school teachers in the State of Hawaii. |
