Forensic Science - Bachelor's Degree

To help meet the demand for dedicated professionals with the knowledge and skills to pursue exciting opportunities in the growing field of criminal justice, AIU Online has added two new career-focused concentrations to its Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (BSCJ) degree completion program.

Our security-conscious society has dictated the need for a growing number of qualified criminal justice professionals. The field offers an increasingly specialized range of interesting career directions for students attracted by the challenges and sense of personal responsibility inherent to such jobs. AIU Online's new concentrations are designed to help students acquire industry-current credentials to take advantage of real-world career opportunities.

AIU Online is also introducing a BSCJ with a concentration in Forensic Science for those students interested in career opportunities like Crime Scene Analyst, Non-Sworn Forensic Personnel and many others. This course of study offers an opportunity to study career-focused course material that includes:
• Clear explanations of the techniques, abilities and limitations within the field of forensic science and its applications to criminal investigations.
• Forensic science techniques of criminal investigations, how to process a crime scene and notify the next of kin.
• Appropriate techniques to safeguard evidence and interact with investigative authorities.
