Bridal Courses
Let your creativity and business acumen unite with a career as a bridal consultant. This field requires much more than a sense of style—you’ll have to keep cool under pressure while adhering to the tiniest of details.
Wedding planners work with vendors, brides and grooms, and their families to put on the perfect day. From choosing a photographer and a DJ to selecting tabletop colors and making seating arrangements, putting on a wedding can be quite demanding. Do it all within budget and you’re golden. (cont.)
Bridal consultants must have an extensive network of reputable vendors for brides to choose from, so continuously reaching out to caterers, photographers, clergy members, limousine services, and even making recommendations for lodging is necessary. People pay wedding planners for their inside knowledge of the industry—so you will need to secure vendors that get things done and do them flawlessly. You will also be responsible for setting up the venue(s) and working with the entire bridal party to execute a memorable day for the bride and groom.
In addition to getting the details down straight, coping with family arguments can be part of the job. Exceptional mediation skills are imperative in this career. But when it all comes down to crunch time, it’s your quick thinking that will make or break the big day so resolving on-the-spot issues is paramount.
Being a wedding planner is quite a bit to handle, but if you stay on top of multiple tasks and treat people well, the career can be extremely rewarding and you can become the in-demand wedding planner in your region.
