Art & Design Courses
Careers in the art and design field are hugely sought after because many people have a creative side and want to put their innovations into practice as a thriving career. There are plenty of art programs and specific art schools offering a myriad of degree programs that can be put to work.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that about 60 percent of those who pursue degrees in the art and design arena are self-employed. But artists and designers do not have to have an entrepreneurial side to have a good career. Artists are used by marketing and public relations agencies (cont.)
and several large companies have their own in-house art departments. Additionally, artists and designers can find plenty of work in the media industry, working for studios and television and movie companies. Architects use design concepts combined with modeling and mathematic practices and can work in firms or be self-employed as well.
Whether you paint well or would like to create a line of stationery, a career in the arts may be right for you. While the pay will vary depending on what you are good at and how you apply your talents, most artists are happy enough creating and know that their careers may not be high-paying, but will be rewarding.
