Online Degree Experience at Widener University

Both formats will provide you with a rich learning environment involving student to student and student to faculty interaction, a connection of theory to practice, critical inquiry, and collaborative learning to engender lifelong learning skills. Widener offers distance learning in two formats:

• Online Courses: Delivered via the Internet through a course management system called WebStudy. No classes are held on campus and there are no mandatory meeting times.
• NetCampus Courses: A hybrid form of distance learning that combines weekly on-campus class meetings with online learning activities via the Internet through a course management system called WebStudy. This accelerated course format enables students to complete a three-credit course in just seven weeks.

No. Online courses have weekly schedules and due dates for readings, postings, and tests. Your instructor will let you know what to do each week and you will have to submit work on a regular, weekly basis, just like a class on campus.

Do I have to be online at the same time as everyone else in class?

Do I need to have a computer background to take an online course?
