About UC Irvine Extension

As the continuing education division of the University of California, Irvine, UC Irvine Extension is dedicated to providing a university-level learning experience for adult professionals. We offer over 40 certificate programs and specialized studies, and thousands of courses to local, regional, and global constituencies.

UC Irvine Extension courses are available on-campus in Irvine, online, and on-site through Corporate Training. Several programs lead to industry certifications, as well as transfer credits toward a masters degree at our partner universities.

Online High School Courses

The UC Irvine Extension also serves high school students preparing for college by offering online advanced placement (AP) and honors courses.  Our courses are approved by the University of California and satisfy the "a-g" subject requirements that most 4-year colleges and universities require for admission. These courses will help students become eligible for admission to the University of California, California State University, and most private colleges and universities. Please refer to the Society section under course listings at the bottom of this page for available courses and specific details.

Online Learning

When you enroll in a UC Irvine Extension online course, you join a virtual community of like-minded learners, instructors who personally facilitate each course, and interactive discussions with your classmates.
