Unlike many culinary schools that promise small classes, NECI takes pride in having the smallest in classes in culinary education. A student-to-instructor ratio of no more than 10-to-1 ensures that you, as an NECI student, will receive focused personal attention from highly esteemed chef instructors.

Not only are NECI-s instructors held in a high regard, but many of the alumni are as well. Steve Jackson, chef for the Chicago Bulls, is a graduate of NECI, as is Alton Brown, the creator and star of the Food Network-s popular Good Eats, and the author of the extraordinary book series I-m Just Here for the Food.

Associate's degrees are offered in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry Arts, and Hospitality & Restaurant Management.

You may be completely new to the culinary arts, or you may be a solid cook who wants to expand into the baking & pastry realm—or you may be a seasoned professional looking to take your expertise to the next level. No matter what your starting point, NECI can equip you with the tools you need to succeed, such as:

• A maximum of 10 students per instructor in a production class
• Extensive, hands-on experience in our celebrated restaurants, bakeries and other facilities
• Paid internships in some of America's top restaurants
• 4 handy enrollments every year: March, June, September and December

NECI-s 3 distinct campuses all have different geographically situated to provide opportunities for chefs and gourmands. The original campus is located in the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains, offering many opportunities for interaction with farmer's markets, artisal cheesemakers, and specialty food producers.
