University offers online associate's degree in organizational management
Those who work in positions of management and wish to boost their careers may benefit from enrolling in a campus-based or online degree program. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, holders of an advanced degree earn significantly higher salaries and have lower rates of unemployment than those who have less education.
Managers who wish to enroll in an academic program may want to consider an associate's degree in organizational management. By completing the curriculum for this degree, professionals can increase their team leadership skills, as well as improve their ability to solve conflicts.
Recently, Ashford University announced that it will offer an online associate's degree in this field. The program is intended to provide students with a strong educational basis that will prepare them for entry-level managerial careers.
"Ashford University's associate's degree in organizational management equips entry-level managers with skills in enhanced communications, appropriate human relations, critical thinking and analysis that are required to be effective in dealing with complex human interactions," said Mary Alexander, program director for Ashford's College of Liberal Arts.
With this degree, students may be qualified for positions as supervisors in a broad range of fields, including sales, retail, small businesses, government and nonprofit organizations.
