In an effort to offer its students more accessible learning options, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) has announced that it has partnered with Ohio-based Franklin University.

Through the collaboration, students enrolled at the college will have the opportunity to earn their bachelors degree through traditional on-campus classes as well as online courses offered by Franklin. After earning their associates degree from the technical college, students will split their time between both institutions through an accelerated program.

"Students have responded enthusiastically to the convenient online format and the ability to fit classes into their daily schedules," said officials with the university. "They have the benefit of belonging to two schools at one time and are able to access Franklin's resources in addition to those in the KCTCS."

In addition to having access to Franklin's online platform, those enrolled at one of the college's 16 campuses can take advantage of the university's academic advising program, its technical helpdesk and its virtual library system. Each student will also be assigned to a student services associate, who will help them with the transition between the two institutions.
