Grantham University, an online education provider catering to working adults, announced today that it has been recognized as a Military Advanced Education Military-Friendly University for the third consecutive year.

The list, which is published each year, evaluates an institution's academic programs, veteran support services, accreditation and distance learning programs.

"We are proud to be recognized as a top quality provider of education," said John LaNear, president of Grantham University. "I am especially honored that our hard work and dedication to our nation's veterans was commended because we have a rich history and tradition of serving the educational needs of those deserving students."

The school was founded by Donald Gratham, a World War II veteran, to help prepare ex-members of the military for careers in the electronics field. While veterans no longer comprise the entire student body, GU continues to meet the educational needs of the nation's armed forces.

Online education can be a flexible option for those who are looking to earn their degree but find it difficult to attend conventional on-campus classes.
