Online university receives 'standard of excellence' award

Walden University, which offers a wide range of online education programs, has been honored with the University Standard of Excellence WebAward.

The award is sponsored by the Web Marketing Association and was decided by a panel of independent experts from around the world who reviewed sites in 96 industries from 47 countries.

The entries were judged based on design, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, ease of use and use of technology, taking into account the rapidly growing internet standard of quality.

Walden's website helps prospective students understand how the school provides innovative learning, effective programs as well as student support and a vibrant student community. It also includes new user-friendly tools intended to make navigating and exploring the site easier and more enjoyable for visitors.

Christian Schindler, vice president of marketing for Walden, expressed the school's satisfaction with the award and said it "reflects our commitment to providing a high-quality experience for everyone interested in learning about the Walden community."
