Online educators can select from growing menu of software innovations

As online education grows in popularity, technology innovators and software providers are developing new technologies to complement distance education.
Campus Management, a leading provider of on-premise and on-demand software and services, has developed CampusVue Performance Analytics, which is a data warehouse with pre-built service modules that extract information for real-time strategic analysis. This enables institutions to gain detailed insight across multiple programs, campuses and software systems within one interface. The company estimates that its information systems are currently being used by more than 75 percent of the largest US-based career and online colleges.
Online education providers receive a set of dashboards and can expand the system into an executive information system that incorporates data from most any other third party software. Next month, Campus Management will demonstrate CampusVue at the 2010 Career College Association's Convention and Exhibition in Las Vegas.
The company is also releasing an improved version of its financial aid processing software, which streamlines financial aid packaging and refunds, while minimizing common errors that can delay the processing of funds from the Department of Education, lenders and financial institutions to students and universities.
