Online criminal justice program features new interactive software

Job opportunities in the field of criminal justice are expected to increase at least 20 percent over the next eight years, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports. As a result, many online universities are now offering specialized criminal justice programs, that are intended to cater to the demand for private detectives, investigators, probation officers and correctional treatment specialists.
For example, Bryant and Stratton College has announced that its criminal justice program will now feature Criminal Justice Interactive (CJi), a multimedia software program. CJi has simulation activities and learning modules to educate students on criminal behavior, law enforcement and court systems.
"The Bryant and Stratton College online criminal justice programs embrace technology so that students receive a multidimensional education, which will prepare them for careers in this rapidly growing industry," said Scott Traylor, director of admissions for online education at Bryant and Stratton College.
Similar online criminal justice programs are quickly adapting to an ever-changing job market. Graduates need to stand out to future employers in a positive way, and a degree from an online school with a career-focused curriculum could help. Criminal justice degree holders can earn more than $75,000 per year, reports the BLS.
