Online campus of CSU offers tuition credit

Colorado State University-Global Campus has announced those who enter their online degree programs at the bachelors or masters level this fall may be eligible to obtain a $250 credit for tuition.

Global Campus is part of CSU and it is an entirely online college targeting busy working professionals, according to YourHub.com, an informational website.

The schools says the benefit of earning a quality degree from a public university while attending online classes is further enhanced by the "tuition guarantee" which says students will not face a tuition hike during the course of their studies.

Online education options have been particularly attractive to adults who would like to update their skills without interrupting their current job.

Studies have shown that salaries of those with college degrees consistently surpass the earnings of those without higher education.

For example, estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau for 2007 show the average earnings for men with high school education were $42,466, while those with bachelors or higher degrees earned $88,843, which is more than twice as much.
