Company helps college expand online education opportunities
Education Online Services Corporation (EOServe Corp), which assists institutions in developing and delivering online degree programs, has announced it will partner for that purpose with Barber-Scotia College, based in North Carolina.
Chairman of EOServe Corp Ezell Brown has noted the positive impact of online programs for traditional institutions of higher learning, and the company's president Benjamin Chavis stressed that online education presents an innovative future for an increasing number of colleges and universities in American and around the world.
Meanwhile, David Olah, president of Barber-Scotia College, said that "[our college] consistently [delivers] academic degree programs which both challenge the mind and provide practical skills for application in the career fields chosen by our students."
"[The new partnership] also expands availability both in online technology expertise and curriculum deployment and delivery," he adds.
Online education is a great option for students who may be underserved by traditional on-campus institutions. It also offers an opportunity for busy adults to learn new skills and embark on higher-paying careers as the Census Bureau estimates that individuals with college degrees earn about twice as much as those with only a high school diploma.
