Upwardly Mobile to launch online MBA program to provide career advancement tools to students

Upwardly Mobile (UpMo), which provides personalized career services, has announced that it will team up with Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management to introduce its online MBAs in Transition (MINT) professional advancement system.

The program is intended to provide business schools with means to help their students and alumni search for jobs in a personalized manner.

UpMo has named the California business school its educational partner in its product launch and will provide members of the Graziadio student and alumni communities with a six-month trial of the service.

The tool helps business students and recent graduates of MBA programs to search for employment by analyzing each job seeker's preparedness to land a job within 90 days and creates personalized guidance to increase the probability of getting hired. The service then finds opportunities that best fit each person's education and experience.

Linda A. Livingston, dean of the Graziadio school, said offering students and alumni access to the program aims to "[go] beyond just preparing [MBA candidates] for their careers [by] providing them with the most valuable and innovative resources to thrive."

Business professionals may consider enrolling in online courses to gain higher education while following their existing career paths.
