University of Arkansas offers new type of MBA program

In an effort to serve individuals who already work in the business industry, the University of Arkansas has announced the launch of new executive MBA (EMBA) courses. Similar programs may appeal to managers who are looking to further themselves in this field.
The growing number of positions within this line of work may mean greater opportunities for those obtaining an EMBA. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, managerial positions accounted for nearly two million jobs in the U.S. as of this year.
The University of Arkansas' new EMBA program can be completed through courses during weekends and on Fridays so that professionals can complete their classes without interrupting their work schedule. The EMBA is aimed at both employers and employees who want to bring new innovative ideas into their companies.
Brian Henderson, the school's director for career development, says that by taking these classes, it will benefit both sides because "the company gets more out of people."
EMBA programs such as this one can enable business professionals to make more money. The BLS reports that two years ago, executives in this industry - many of whom held these degrees - had the highest salaries of all other workers in this field.
