University announces new online MBA program

Individuals in the aftermarket industry who have been considering enrollment in on-campus or online university to earn a MBA degree now have another option.

Northwood University has announced it will begin offering its partially online Aftermarket Executive MBA program in the spring semester, Aftermarket Business reports.

Intended for professionals with many years of experience in the field, the program will incorporate online courses and weeklong sessions with professors from the university's DeVos Graduate School of Management.

Program participants will also be required to complete a capstone project that provides a business benefit of a $75,000 or more.

The curriculum is designed to allow students to earn a degree within 30 months.

Individuals who work in aftermarket companies that specialize in replacement parts manufacturing, accessories, chemicals, appearance products, service, repair as well as tools and equipment are eligible to apply for the program, according to the school's website.

Tim Nash, the university's vice president of strategic and corporate alliances, said the online degree could provide students with "more than a tenfold payback of the program cost in many cases."
