Hispanic Business, a trade publication, has ranked The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) College of Business as the top graduate business school in this month's edition.

The recognition marks the second time the school has been named in the listing, and this year's finalists also include UT-El Paso, University of Miami, UT-Austin, Stanford University, University of New Mexico, Dartmouth, Florida International University, University of California at Berkeley and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

"This ranking speaks to the quality of our academic programming and the services that we provide our MBA students and for our community," says Lynda de la Vina, dean of the UTSA College of Business and Peter Flawn Professor of Economics.

"It elevates the college into the upper echelon of business schools in the nation," she adds.

The ranking is based on criteria which include commitment to student and faculty body diversity, student support services, graduation rates and graduate program reputation.

Adults searching for a new career may consider going back to school to boost their credentials, and there are many traditional as well as online MBA programs available to help them make a rewarding career change.

Depending on the field, position and years of experience, average salaries for holders of MBA degrees ranged from $73,510 to $171,583 in 2008, according to PayScale.com.
