Test Drive Grad School Online" gives prospective graduate students insight on courses

New programs are being created that allow prospective students to gain insight as to how much of a commitment they will need to make in order to complete an online master's degree.

For instance, EducationDynamics recently announced the launch of its new "Test Drive Grad School Online" for potential students who wish to obtain a graduate degree. The project was created to help individuals who are unsure as to how much work and time it will take to complete a master's.

Courses for the program are administered by higher education institutions, including Saint Leo University.

Upon completion of classes, prospects must pass an exam before they are interviewed by an advisor, who decides whether or not the student exhibits the necessary motivation to succeed in an online education environment.

Once it is determined that an individual is ready to attend graduate school, institutions are recommended by the advisor. The program allows prospects to gain college credit that can then be transferred toward their degree.

Richard Capezzali, executive vice president of EducationDynamics, said that "returning students understand the benefits of obtaining a master's degree in today's job market, but they are concerned about the requirements before committing the time and money."

Overall, the program aims to increase graduate school enrollment as well as reduce the amount of student loan defaults.
