Students may use iPhone application to predict where they will attend business school
Prospective MBA students may be able to narrow down their search for the perfect campus-based or online school with the help of a new iPhone application.
Veritas Prep, an MBA consulting services provider, has announced the availability of an iPhone and iPod Touch application that can help students see which of the top business schools they may be able to attend.
Using the application, prospective students can plug in their credentials, including their GMAT scores, undergraduate GPA, work experience and extracurricular activities. The application then compares this data to statistics provided by publications such as BusinessWeek and U.S. News and World Report to determine the top school that best matches the student's qualifications.
Scott Shrum, the company's director of MBA admissions research, said that "while there are no hard-and-fast rules for determining an applicant's chances in the somewhat subjective MBA admissions process, certain traits strongly correlate with one's chances of admissions success at the top business schools."
The free application is now available for download in the iTunes store.
