Students launch magazine to track entrepreneurship trends

In an attempt to stay abreast of emerging trends in the small business sector, students and faculty from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have announced the launch of a new publication.

The MIT Entrepreneurship Review, which will be written by students at the school and available in a free online format, will feature analysis of entrepreneurship trends that are occurring in the MIT community and around the country.

Targeted at current and budding small business owners, articles will give readers an insider's look at new technologies and innovations that are being used around the world to help entrepreneurial ventures succeed. Primary topics of exploration will include energy, information technology, life science and general entrepreneurship, and articles may discuss marketing, company profiles or MIT projects.

Proponents of the publication include PhD, graduate and undergraduate students as well as MIT alumni from a wide variety of disciplines.

Erdin Beshimov, the MBA candidate who founded the MIT Entrepreneurship Review, said that the publication is intended to "bridge the gap between academic discourse and the public in the field of entrepreneurship."
