Schools implement international specialization into MBA curriculum

Individuals who would like to travel for work could find an international MBA degree can enhance their skills and broaden opportunities in the business industry. Some schools are implementing this as an option for interested students.

For instance, the University of Texas, El Paso (UTEP) is now providing individuals with an international MBA degree program, The Prospector reports.

Laura Uribarri, the school's director of MBA programs, told the newspaper that the goal of this new degree is to "create global opportunities for our students" so they may find successful careers in various places around the world.

Students who enroll in courses for the new program will learn how to speak Mandarin and Spanish as well as participate in international research. They will also have the opportunity to study abroad.

By adding this as an option, the school intends to attract working professionals who would like to broaden their business knowledge as well as full and part-time students.

An MBA degree with this specialization could benefit be useful in many careers, such as a management analyst analysis. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that international business will contribute to the increasing demand for these professionals in this field, as and there will be over 178,000 new jobs created for them over the next decade.
