School administrators work to improve online MBA programs
The highly competitive job market has inspired many business professionals to enroll in campus-based or online colleges in order to enhance their educational qualifications. Because the decision requires a substantial financial investment, most business professionals are seeking MBA programs that can give them the highest quality education that causes the smallest disruption to their lives.
As a result, administrators at several campus-based and online schools are taking steps to improve their web-based offerings, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Many business colleges are now requiring their online MBA candidates to participate in an orientation program before they can register for classes. These initiatives are intended to help students establish a relationship with the school, even if they will not be visiting the campus often.
Some professors are taking it upon themselves to enhance communication with online learners by sending out regular email updates or holding on-campus office hours that are devoted to their web-based students.
Students who have close relationships with their schools throughout the course of an MBA program may increase their chances of landing high-paying jobs after graduation.
According to PayScale.com, a research company, MBA degree holders have the potential to earn six-figure salaries, depending on their position and experience.
